About Me

About Me

Katie Green, Head Counselor

Welcome to Camp Moss and Moon, where the cocoa’s lukewarm, the tent zipper’s jammed, and nobody cares if your socks match.

I’m a 5th grade teacher and a mom of four boys—which means I know a thing or two about mud, mystery, and controlled chaos. This isn’t a perfect parenting blog. It’s a firefly-lit clearing in the forest where magic still matters and joy doesn’t need permission.

I built this camp as a rebellion against the grind. A return to wildness—for my kids, and for myself.

Here, you’ll find messy adventures, cryptid quests, spontaneous science, half-burnt marshmallows, and stories that smell like pine and possibility.

If you’ve ever longed to run barefoot, believe in Bigfoot, or trade screen time for stargazing—unpack your bag.

You’re already home.
